Steve Linder
Steve Linder is the President of AANGL Investigations and a retired Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal with 27 years of federal law enforcement experience including five years with the Bureau of Prisons and 22 years with the United States Marshals Service. In his last role with the Marshals Service he oversaw security operations for 78 federal judges including active shooter training, residential and personal security, cyber investigations and threat management for more than 2,000 courthouse employees.
Following his retirement, Steve transitioned to the private sector where he also serves as Director of Security for a major healthcare network. In this role he leads training and investigations, defensive tactics instruction, active shooter preparedness, weapons detection, threat management and executive protection. He regularly consults on officer use-of-force incidents and self-defense investigations.
In addition to his law enforcement and private security leadership, Steve is an accomplished martial artist and competitive boxer. He won the 2022 Chicago Golden Gloves Tournament and the 2023 Boxing Masters National Championship (189lb Open Division). He is the founder of Lifetough Kids Boxing Club, a community organization that has taught self-defense and active shooter preparedness to thousands of youth over the past 11 years.
Steve continues to contribute as a subject matter expert in judicial security and active shooter training, frequently presenting at conferences, webinars and training sessions. He is also a child safety trainer who conducts annual community safety seminars.
